Our journey, your family: welcome to GMDSSD Ranch SafeHaven

Our journey began in 2012, raising Kinders with a simple love for goats. This passion quickly led us to registered stock, bringing Nigerian Dwarfs into our lives in 2014. The dream of raising our own Mini Nubians took root, and after four years of dedicated effort, our home-raised Mini's finally arrived in 2018. This path taught us that perseverance truly pays off; if you put in the hard work, success will follow. We're blessed to have our family by our side, proving that it takes a village to achieve great things. Our goals for the herd have blossomed, with many achievements realized in 2024-2025.

At GMDSSD Ranch SafeHaven, our approach to raising Mini Nubians is rooted in exceptional care and rigorous standards. We've overcome initial struggles, understanding that sometimes you need to start over to achieve greatness. Our herd is clean-tested for CL, CAE, Johnes, and Qfever, ensuring the highest health standards. This dedication reflects in our achievements, with some of our does ranking in the top ten for 305 milk testing in 2024, and all our does proudly earning their milk stars in 2025. Our girls also shine in 4-H, FFA, and open class shows across North Dakota, a testament to their quality and our care.

Our ranch is more than just a home for Mini Nubians; it's a place of learning and discovery. We love teaching kids how to make dairy products, with butter-making in a jar being a particular favorite—watching cream solidify after just 15 minutes is always fascinating! Visitors can also enjoy interacting with our horses and even go for rides. We're proud to offer a mentor program for 4-H, teaching young enthusiasts how to show, milk, and conduct milk testing. Additionally, we provide farm tours for an immersive experience. Don't forget to explore our range of farm-fresh products, including goat milk, nourishing lotion, handmade soap, and soothing chapsticks and lip balms.
